- I have just come into possession of a Citori with a serial number that (the Browning website) says is a Type 3, 12 Ga 3 1/2' Gr 1 Hunting. It has a straight tang, English stock and has fixed chokes. and., so Full and Mod on a 28' barrel. Manufacture date (according to the date code) is 1985.

This is the commercial currently being used by Browning for the Browning Citori over and under shotgun. Few things about the Citori offer more of an advantag. The serial number is 35,xxx. The barrel has the 'BROWNING AUTOMATIC ARMS CO. OGDEN UTAH-U.S.A' mark on it. The serial number, according to browning, means that it was made sometime between 1901 and 1939. According to Browning, the barrel stamp indicates that. Serial Number beginning with at the start of each year. Type 1 - Manufactured only in Wood is still available, date in very limited quantities. Type 2 - Manufactured from through Mechanical parts date still available and are the shotgun as dating used lookup the present manufactured Citori.
The production of the Citori over/under shotgun began in 1973. It has gone through many configurations in the years and is currently still in production.
